OMG! Kriti Sanon replaces Alia Bhatt! She will be the leading lady in Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend!Things are moving thick and fast when it comes to the next film of director Mohit Suri. After agreeing to direct and make a movie out of Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Half GirlFriend’, Mohit Suri has now even decided who his leading lady for the film of the same name is going to be.
The chosen one is actress Kriti Sanon, who was last seen opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti. Earlier, sources suggested that Mohit wanted Alia Bhatt as the main lead in the film, but now it seems that Mohit thought Kriti Sanon was a better choice.
Kriti, who is currently busy with Naga Chaitanya’s film, was recently spotted at the launch of Chetan Bhagat’s book ‘Half Girlfriend’ in Mumbai.Half Girlfriend will be in cinemas by the Summer of 2016 and it is being produced by Ekta Kapoor.
The story revolves around the lives of a Bihari boy and a girl from a high society. Chetan Bhagat’s previous adaptations like 3 Idiots and 2 States have been massive hits so we can expect another blockbuster in the form of Half Girlfriend.
